About this digital tool

The overtime pay calculator works out how much you should be paid for hours worked outside normal hours. Enter your hourly or monthly pay, the number of overtime hours and the type of day (working day or rest day or official holiday), and the tool applies the relevant premium and gives the pay for the overtime hours and the total. Under the Labour Code, as provided in the tool, the premium is 25% for working days and 50% for rest days and holidays.

It is useful for employees who want to check whether their overtime is paid correctly and for employers calculating costs. Collective agreements or special rules may provide more favourable terms. The result is an estimate; confirm with your contract and with the labour inspectorate.
