Frequently asked questions
How is the price after a discount calculated?
Final price = original price × (1 − discount ÷ 100). For example, 5,000 lek with 20% off is 5,000 × 0.80 = 4,000 lek.
How do I work out the discount percentage from two prices?
Subtract the new price from the old one, divide by the old price and multiply by 100. If the price goes from 8,000 to 6,000 lek, the discount is 25%.
Why don't two discounts in a row add up?
Because the second discount is calculated on the price left after the first. A 20% discount followed by 10% gives 0.8 × 0.9 = 0.72, which is a total discount of 28%, not 30%.
How much do I save with a discount?
The saving is the original price minus the final price. On a 5,000 lek item with 20% off you pay 4,000 lek and save 1,000 lek.
