Frequently asked questions
How is a sales commission calculated?
Commission = sale amount × commission rate ÷ 100. E.g. a 100,000 lek sale at 3% = 3,000 lek commission; net = 97,000 lek.
How do I find the net amount after commission?
Subtract the commission from the sale amount. In the example above the net is 194,000 lek.
What is the difference between a fixed and a percentage commission?
A fixed commission is a set amount for each sale, while a percentage one grows with the value of the sale. This calculator works with the percentage rate.
Is VAT included in the commission?
It depends on the contract and the agent's tax status. If the agent is VAT-registered, it may be added on top of the commission; ask your accountant.
