About this digital tool

A date difference calculator shows how many days, weeks, months and years lie between two dates. Pick a start date and an end date, and the result appears straight away, together with the day of the week for each date. The tool also has a tab for adding or subtracting days from a date. It is useful for contract deadlines, probation periods, payment schedules, leave days and project timelines. The difference follows the real calendar, so months of 28 to 31 days and leap years are taken into account. If you need only working days without weekends and public holidays, use the working days calculator. For legal deadlines, always check how the relevant document defines counting.

How to use

  1. Pick the start date.
  2. Pick the end date.
  3. Read the difference in days, weeks and months.
