About this digital tool

Investment funds offer diversification and professional management, but their fees affect long-term returns significantly. This calculator shows you how much you will have after 5, 10, 20 or 30 years by investing regularly in a fund, after deducting management fees (TER), entry/exit charges and taxes. In Albania, investment funds (such as those of Raiffeisen Invest, Credins Invest) offer returns of 3–8% a year.

Frequently asked questions

What is TER (Total Expense Ratio)?

TER is the fund's total annual cost as a percentage of assets, including the management fee, administrative costs and other charges. E.g., a TER of 1.5% means €15 of cost for every €1,000 invested.

How much should I invest each month?

It depends on your goal. As a rule, experts recommend 10–20% of monthly income. Even 5,000 ALL/month, invested consistently for 20 years at an average return of 6%, becomes over 2.3 million ALL.

Which investment funds are available in Albania?

Several fund management companies operate in Albania: Raiffeisen Invest, Credins Invest, WVP Fund Management Tirana, etc. They offer bond funds (low risk, 3-5% return) and balanced funds (medium risk, 5-8% return).

Why do fund fees affect returns so much?

Because the annual fee is taken each year on the assets and compounds over time. A small difference in the fee, repeated over many years, significantly reduces the final value.

Is the return from an investment fund guaranteed?

No. The expected return you enter here is an assumption; markets fluctuate and you may lose part of your capital. Read the fund's prospectus and consult a licensed adviser.
